iPhone 16 Pro models will come with the new A18 Pro chip, which features a larger die size to enhance artificial intelligence performance. The chip will have a 6-core GPU like the A17 Pro in iPhone 15 Pro models. iOS 18 is rumored to introduce generative AI features for various iPhone functions and apps. The iPhone 16 Pro models are said to have an upgraded Neural Engine with more cores, making some generative AI features exclusive to these models. Apple constantly improves the Neural Engine’s performance, and the A17 Pro chip has notably faster Neural Engine capabilities than the one in the A16 Bionic chip. The company plans to unveil more about generative AI features later this year and provide a preview of iOS 18 at the WWDC event in June. iPhone 15 Pro models already boast a more efficient and faster 6-core GPU compared to previous versions. Apple is expected to maintain the 6-core GPU for the A18 Pro chip, with graphics enhancements being less significant on the iPhone 16 Pro models. Stay tuned for the official reveal of the iPhone 16 series in September.
